Acceptable use Policy

I think an acceptable use policy is a good policy to enforce. I think it is good because it can restrict students from seeing things they should not. I also think it is a way to get students to be able to use and navigate the internet safely.

Blogs

I think blogs are great because they can serve several purposes. I would use it for my educational career to connect with parents and students. I would include what we did that day and pictures so parents can get a visual. I will also use it as a way to give other teachers ideas and lessons. If I were teaching third grade I would use it as a way for students to complete assignments or do a discussion board.

Social Bookmarking

Social bookmarking is great because it is a organized way to keep all of your favorite sites without having to write them down or struggle to remember what the site was. I like to use diigo because it is easy to navigate and it is a easier way to keep social bookmarks.

RSS Feeders

Google Docs

Google Docs are good because then you dont have to download a software onto your computer. Your documents will never disapear because it is on your google account and everything is attached to your docs. I also like it because carrying around a jump drive can be a hassle and it can get easily lost. So it is a lot easier to just have all your documents in one place.

Glogster

I made a resume with Glogster. I like the layout of Glogster and it makes information look organized and easier to read. I think you can use Glogster for a lot of different things such as a way to display information for your students. I like how they have several different formats so you can display information.

Pic Monkey

I like PicMonkey because it is free and it is a site that is easy to edit your pictures. I think my future students will like this website because I can teach them how to edit their pictures and it is a fun educational activity. I thought it was really cool how you could edit your picture to whiten your teeth and fix blemishes.
